Terms of Service
Last updated: May 8, 2026
These Terms of Service govern your use of Giving Partnership. By using the platform, you agree to these terms and all applicable policies, including the Privacy Policy and Donation Policy.
1. Platform Purpose
Giving Partnership connects donors with verified recipients, charities, nonprofits, community organizations, and other approved campaigns. The platform supports campaign review, donation tracking, payout review, due diligence, transparency reporting, messaging, moderation, and audit controls.
2. User Roles
Users may register as donors, individual recipients, organizations, reviewers, moderators, or administrators. Access to features may depend on the user role, verification status, and platform approval.
3. Account Responsibilities
You agree to provide accurate information, protect your login details, keep your account information updated, and notify the platform of unauthorized use or suspicious activity.
4. Verification
Recipients and organizations may be required to complete verification before campaigns are approved. Verification may include identity checks, organization checks, address checks, document review, risk scoring, or manual review.
5. Campaign Rules
Campaigns must be truthful, lawful, and connected to the stated purpose. Campaigns must not include misleading claims, fraudulent statements, prohibited goods or services, illegal activity, hateful content, exploitation, or misuse of donor funds.
6. Campaign Review
Campaigns are not automatically approved. Giving Partnership may review, approve, reject, request more information, suspend, or remove campaigns at its discretion.
7. Donations
Donations are intended to support the campaign selected by the donor. Donation processing may involve bank transfer, Stripe, PayPal, crypto, or other supported payment methods. Some payments may require manual confirmation before being treated as received.
8. Voluntary Platform Tips
Giving Partnership may allow donors to add voluntary platform tips. Tips may support platform operations and are separate from the campaign donation amount unless otherwise stated.
9. Payouts
Recipients and organizations may request payouts only for eligible campaigns and available confirmed funds. Payouts may require bank details, document review, admin approval, due diligence, and final payment processing before funds are released.
10. High-Value Payout Due Diligence
Payouts of 100,000 USD or more, or campaigns with confirmed donations totaling 100,000 USD or more, may require enhanced due diligence. This may include identity documents, bank proof, use-of-funds budgets, invoices, contracts, screening checks, declarations, and follow-up reporting plans.
11. Transparency Reports
Recipients may be required to submit fund usage reports after payouts. Approved reports may be shown publicly to donors and visitors.
12. Prohibited Conduct
You must not:
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information.
- Use funds for purposes different from approved campaigns.
- Impersonate another person or organization.
- Upload forged, stolen, or manipulated documents.
- Harass, threaten, exploit, or abuse other users.
- Attempt to bypass verification, review, or security checks.
- Use the platform for illegal or prohibited activity.
13. Reviews, Messages, and Reports
Users may not send abusive, misleading, unlawful, or harmful content through reviews, messages, reports, or campaign updates. Giving Partnership may moderate or remove content.
14. Suspension and Removal
Giving Partnership may suspend accounts, freeze campaigns, hold payouts, reject donations, remove content, or restrict access if there is suspected misuse, fraud, legal risk, policy violation, or safety concern.
15. No Guarantee of Funding
Giving Partnership does not guarantee that campaigns will receive donations, that donors will complete pledges, or that payout requests will be approved.
16. No Professional Advice
Information on Giving Partnership does not constitute legal, financial, tax, medical, or professional advice. Users should seek independent advice where needed.
17. Taxes
Donations may not be tax deductible in all jurisdictions. Donors and recipients are responsible for understanding their own tax obligations.
18. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Giving Partnership is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages arising from use of the platform.
19. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of the platform means you accept the updated terms.
